I love days like these !!

Not much time for anything lately. A rare few hours of opportunity struck so I went to Golden Gate Park for about 5hrs. and gave it a shot.
I picked a spot with lots of old trees next to a road that I thought must have at least one silver coin around .
The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful . Lot's of pretty girls jogging and occasionally giving a smile to the Old , harmless Geek swinging the metal detector .
The first thing I put my coil over was a banged up silver "peace" ring that was sitting on top of the ground .
Then the first Merc of the day . It was a good feeling to know I wasn't going to go home skunked .
My next coin didn't come too long after that , another Merc !! Yeah , this already
is a good day !!
Picked up a bunch of junk and some clad before I dug the silver Roosie .
Things went dead there so I figured I'd try another nearby spot.
there I found one shallow Wheatie and a clad pocket drop that threw up a weird signal. It consisted of 2 quarters , 2 dimes and a nickel .
My clad total was $ 2.11 .
It didn't pay for the gas but the therapy was wonderful !! How's that for a story ?

Hi Jim ,
Yeah I used to switch off and use 4 different detectors . Now I'm down to just using 2 with the F-75 being my primary and only using the "Armbreaker 2 " once in a great while . The other 2 are now "loaners" for anyone who may go hunting with me that doesn't have a detector . Those silver coins were only 3
and 4" deep . I couldn't get a good ground balance because I was getting a lot of electrical interference and there were a lot of sprinkler pipes in the ground even with lowered sensitivity ,so I hunted in discrimination set at 28 and went for what I could get .Later as I hunted a little further from that spot ,I was able to ground balance . I then returned to the spot where I found the silvers with this setting and found clad the deepest being about 5" . I am still very" green "
with the F-75 . The quick recovery , great tones , excellent ID and light weight are still making it possible for me to make a lot of nice finds while learning this machine . I haven't found anything real deep with it yet but it has been a while since I have with my other one either , I'm confident I will . . You did good getting your F-75 Jim !! You should post some of those great finds you've been making recently !!
H H ,
George
