Had today off, the snow has mostly melted from last week and the urge to water hunt was strong. My buddy and I headed to a lake, where we hunted both land and water.

The hunt wasn't without risks. We were in bear country, but none were around today. A red squirrel was watching us detect, and a couple of seagulls were yakking up a storm on a small dock.

Both water and land gave up some nice finds, along with the usual junk.

I did get a silver dime, a most ugly pirate ring and a couple of uncommon ammunition shells. Shown here are the head stamps.

Below is a cool "HOTWHEEL" Chopper I got out of the water.....

Nice hunt!:garrett::detecting:Congrats on the silver!:cheers:Nice pics!:clapping:
Yeah, I leave the headphones off in bear country. Use my radio shack external speaker for LS. That way I can hear what's goin' on around me and the bears/critters hear me and know I'm comin'. I sure don't want to surprise no bears(and get surprised by one:biggrin:) Happy Hunting!:)
