I am only one person so it won't be a big impacted on the company but I am going to see if the grass is greener else where. It is hard to looks out the window waiting for something new that may never come. I still feel the product line and company is top notch but it's time to stop waiting and move on. In 30 + years I have used many brands some good and some not so good, thanks for the memories. I have some hard earned money that I would like to spend on a new product, I guess I will have to look some where else. I would even have been happy with a hint. Thanks for everything:tesoro:

rodbuster , good things are worth waiting for , we know those words are out of frustration so it don't mean anything , just hang on bro

Nothing says you can't diversify. I'm a big Tesoro fan, but I'm about to pull the trigger on an F75LTD for the deep targets beyond the reach of my Tesoros. I'll sell one, but keep the others for when deep digging isn't feasible.

Think of it this way. I have 3 children, and even though they are three separate and distinct personalities, I love them all equally. I think I can do that with detectors too. :beers:

Been there, done that, it was fun along the way. Grass might be greener but there's a lot more weeds.
I swore I wouldn't get rid of my older White's. My bad shoulder and elbow revolted this afternoon after using it.
As good as it is, its painful. For sure now, I know if I want to hunt pain free I need a lightweight Tesoro again.
So when my White's Blue & Gray sells, the money will boost my Tesoro funds..............

I don't blame you. The Outlaw kinda cured me for waiting on something new. Having said that, the Compadre is one of the best detectors I have owned in 50 years for what it does. I just can't get over what it does for the price and after 40 years as an ID/tone guy, I finally realized that beep/dig is the only way to truly approach this hobby. Sure, I use ID in the most forsaken sites, but about 80% is beep/dig.

rodbuster, I am sure there are a lot of Tesoro users who own and use other brand machines....I am one of them. I hear you when you say that it is hard looking for something new, and it never comes. Part of my interest in this hobby is provided by using different detectors. I find it helps to keep my interest and sharpen my wits (if I can find them) a bit. No harm at all in trying something different, and no harm at all in having more than one machine. I hope that you find one to interest you....it shouldn't be hard, there are so many different detectors around these days. All the best, Pete.

I have to admit I would like to get a F-70 because it has a slow all metal , I could care less about the meter on it , I find my self saying to myself , I wish the Tiger shark was in a light micromax housing for land and have some DD coils it would be a great machine, I thought of the Fisher 1270 but it has no DD thats stopped me but the VAQ is filling the void for now .

Wow T , I couldn't have said it any better .

Rodbuster, I know the feeling, don't feel bad. I too love Tesoro detectors, but just couldn't wait any longer. Been waiting along time for Tesoro to come up with something that struck me, even before the Outlaw appeared on the market. Like a lot of people, I was waiting on my tax return to arrive and was hoping the timing of Tesoro's new offering would be some where in neighborhood of my tax return. Just not gonna wait any longer, went with the Teknetics Gamma 6000. I'll see how it works out, have heard a lot of good things about it. I'm like you, in thinking my money won't hurt Tesoro (and I hope not, great company) but it makes you wonder. Looks like several have responded to this post by saying they have moved on to another detector. I know I won't be able to spend any more money on another detector for a long time after this purchase, no matter what Tesoro's new offering is, unless this one doesn't work out and I sell it. LOL! Maybe..........

FYI... I'm going to have to put the F75 on hold. I need to know that it's going to work well on Canadian coins before I spend that kind of money. I KNOW my Tesoros work like a champ so for now I will stick with what I have. The money is set aside waiting, so maybe the Cazador will end up in my hands? Time will tell.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I think Tesoro is a fine company with good friendly people ( I have talked to them on the phone). It's nice to be able to share ideas with others in a friendly manner, and everyone of you guys are right. I know I am not very patience and I'm sure I'll be knocking on Tesoro's door again some day. Five Tesoro's and I was happy with them all, I could stand on a pile on trash with my golden umax and find the high tone target with no effort. Best of luck to everyone, I'll be always looking to see what's new with you guys, who knows, someday I may come home. Thanks:tesoro:

Kind of ironic! I've been using Fishers for years...older ones 1200's and CZ's. Now I trying out my first Tesoro. In fact, my new Vaquero arrived today. I always read good things about Tesoros but never had the chance to use one. I debated putting that Vaquero $$$ and one of my CZ's up for sale to get an F70 or F75. I just decided I wasn't ready to have a detector that required having the operator manual memorized to get full use out of it. Will I miss some targets, probably. Will I have fun, of course. The way I figure it is most any detector nowadays, is so much better than what we had 10-20 years ago. Best of luck to ya!

I feel your Pain as well I have been a Die Hard Tesoro User for many years and have owned quite a few as I have weeded through them to find just that right machine for me the two That I miss the most are the Bandito II and the Bandito II

Will I miss some targets, probably.

You won't miss much once you learn what the Vaquero is telling you. It's a great machine, and loads of fun...and that's really the whole point.
