I know this is not Minelab machines but i have a few questions

The last couple of months i have been watching videos on the Blisstool machine i know it does not have any tone ID or a screen it is just your basic stripped down DEEP!!! target finding monster what i do not understand is what the heck does it have to find good targets 20 inches or more !!! and notch out iron targets , hhmm ? or should i say what does the Blisstool not have ?? that much higher priced machines that don't even get half the depth a person i know has one and he says it takes a little learning to set it up but it,s not really hard . If you haven't already check out some of the Blisstool videos ill include this one AMAZING !! it,s not in English but that don't matter .In the video the demonstrater is still getting a good signal holding the coil 6 inches over the bolder which already is 20 inches high !! . I've heard some good things about the Blisstool and the folks who own them really like them. It would be really interesting to try one out. I'm going to a organized CW relic hunt next month in Culpepper Va next month and I'm crossing my fingers that someone will have one so I can check it out. It's supposed to be deadly in hot rock and red clay conditions and Culpepper is well know for that type of conditions. Normally, the folks who go there for the DIV hunts use a PI machine.

I remember a young teenager was using a GPX5000 down in Culpepper last year and he did find plenty of 3 ringers deep but i still think the Bliss will out do that much deeper would be interesting to see . iam sure a few Blisstools will show up this year

deepdigger...... im sure its a good machine. We have had some discussions about it on the beach in the wet sand 20 inches on a ring. It has its place but cant be used everywhere. Its an 8.5 kHz..... i find it very hard to believe it pulls a ring at 20 inches in WET salt sand. If i cant believe that then i begin getting sceptical. But i know some guys who like it .... just on in a park type situation.

Dew personally i would like to see more accrual hunts then depth test in farm fields and wet sand by the way that mans gold ring was on a 20 inch string but buried 17 inches in wet sand still a good depth and yes i know it is not the type of machine you would want to use everyday to hunt because most coins just don't go that deep , i do know for a fact it does find thin gold chains with no problem . I would,nt mind having one in the back of my truck for those special hunts . Jim

With that kind of depth they would be awesome for the field and relic person. but..... id have to see it in person on the deep ring because i know what a single freq machine does on a beach. Depth seems to be its strength.... weakness is EMI i think. Id love to have all the new machines now coming out on the market from overseas.... some are very interesting. Price is starting to really get up there thou. This may not be a poors mans weekend hobby any longer soon. Seems there is always a trade off and nothing has changed..... you still need the right detector for you location and type of hunting, nothing does it all.

Jim,you may want to check out some of Gunnar's posts ,not sure he stayed with the Blisstool.I tried a Whites TDI a while back just too much digging for me. Good Luck Ron
