but I was just reminiscing after reading Vaughn's memories of his Dad. I remember the 1st international treasure hunt and how Mr. Garrett sponsored part of it. I remember it being a Sunday and how he held services before the second day's hunt. I remember his taking "all the time in the world" when others wanted to ask questions. I remember the write up one year dedicating a searcher issue to Vaughn-a special son. I remember reading all of Karl Von Mueller's articles and how he and "Charlie" were sometimes together and how he loved the Garrett Spartan. I could go on and on-hope you'll forgive me thinking out loud.

Nothing wrong with reminiscing and talking out loud. I do the same and expect most others do as well. At my fathers funeral, a good friend and minister spoke that there are 3 deaths that occur. The first is when the body stops functioning, the second when the body is committed to the ground and the third is the very last time the name/memory of the deceased has been spoken. As long as we continue to reminisce and talk out loud those we hold in our hearts will still be alive.

Thanks for those memories....the type of man Charles was, is the reason why I went with Garrett detectors 20 some odd years ago. And yet, his detectors have served me well!
