I know the C$ is "splash proof, but

They say the speaker is waterproof & I have had mine out in sprinkles.....but I don't push it anymore than that. Those clear bags the newspaper comes in work great slid up over the box. That's what I do. Others keep that sticky saran wrap in their trunk & wrap the box in that when it's wet (I like that idea, but have yet to try it).....Others put a clear shower cap over the top as well.....

one time when it started raining cats and dogs! I tried to keep the C$ dry, but it got drenched anyway. When I got back home, I took it apart to see if any moisture had gotten inside, but it was dry as a bone.... I think they did a great job making them "weather resistant". Like Bill said, keep some clear plastic handy (unlike me!). I use those little glad bowl covers from the grocery store. My wife picked them up for me and got the pink ones
