A friend and I were headed for a "mini road trip" location to hunt a pretty well hunted spot. I saw a guy mowing a yard behind a big, old country church. Long story short, we turned around, got permission, and fired up our detectors. Fifty plus coins later we weren't rich but boy did we have fun. Started out with quarters underneath the swing set and stayed busy. My grand total was a little over $2.50. I got a few interesting tootsietoys and a small silver plate ring. I suspect somebody cleaned the silver out 25 years ago and never came back. Today, my right hand is rebelling, asking for the day off. My months of field hunting have let my grass recovery muscles get a little out of shape. Hope everyone has a chance to get out over this glorious weekend.

Right on. I took the CZ70 Pro to an elementary school here in the Soo that I went to 30 years ago and was with my uncle who went there 50+ years ago and it was an older school when he went to it.

The property the school sits on is huge, with a field area the size of 3-4 football fields. I have not dug that much since I started detecting. I ended up with 9 quarters, 10+ dimes, only one nickle which was weird, and a plethora of pennies and there were still tons of signals. My lone "oldie" was a 1944 wheat penny.

The odd part of this area was the fact that clad was deep, I was digging coins up to 8 inches deep. Not sure if there is a goofy water table there or what.

I picked up this CZ70 Pro this past winter and I am hooked on it. Hits coins better than any other machine i have ever used.
