This is a Bell P-39 Airacobra (1941)This airplane had the engine in the back of the cockpit with a drive shaft going to the prop.I more then likly gave them to the Soviet Union.They were hard to get out of a spin.

This is a Grummam Avenger,Preident Bush (The old man)flew this kind in WW2

I used to fly one of these when I was flying for the Civil Air Patrol.This is the L-16.

You might want to check out the 'WarBird' air show here in Titusville, Fla. around March, which is about when BikeWeek in Daytona is happening. They have the WarBird musium also.With Patrick AirBase near here the have a good show and you get to see present day aircraft with present day pilots in action along with antique craft (in action)!
