I just spent the afternoon and evening with four nice people...

As they drove into my driveway Elson and Falk were still arguing about the "Shortcut" that Elson had taken in Denver. It ended up being a toll road and cost them over 6 bucks before Elson took another shortcut through a cornfield and ended up back on the Interstate. He was afraid it would have cost him another 20 bucks just to get out of town so.... He can sure get a lot out of a penny, that one.

Betty and Jenny are the nicest gals you could hope to meet and they (Along with Nancy) put up with the three of us telling stories and laughing our heads off. Nancy cooked up a great dinner and my son and daughter-in-law came out to eat with us. They brought out a fresh blackberry cobbler that was so good Elson only could talk at 150 words per minute while eating. Yep, they both are master forkmen for sure. They are going beddy-bye now. We leave a 0545 for the ghost town.

Our plans are to get there early, dig like crazy, and stay late. Listen to the wind tomorrow and see if you can hear the faint sound of a rebel yell coming over the Rockies. There be treasure up there!

Betty, Jenny, Nancy, and her friend Debbie are going to spend the day shopping in Boise. They will no doubt have as much fun as the three detecting amigos.

Think of us as you head back to work, this could be fun! And also, Falk stopped in Boise and bought his own underwater detector. We will hit the wet on Wednesday. Off to bed, I'm going to need my rest, David
