Just found a new Sony myself....Been looking at them for awhile and finally found one at a decent price new in the box on Ebay. Tell ya, there are some deals on there if your willing to put the time in and can wait for the right one....I was using my daughters older Olympus 340 R and it took decent pictures but had no lens on it for different stuff etc...It was a starter unit for her... Its handy and nice and compact for hiking but this new one should really take some nice shots if I do my part.....George-CT
 
since I wanted the extended warentee, I bought new. Still the price was ok.
