I just figured out something... My Compadre cost $70, not $90...Look at this:bouncy:

They had been sitting in a closet for 4 years. I think that's how it went.

$320 + $20 shipping. Total $340.

I figured $90 for the Compadre and $250 for the Eldorado. But wait a minute!!!!!!!$$$$$$:surprised:

You know what???? I did not think about it until right this minute.

I sold the Eldorado for $270. + $20 shipping which covered shipping and the eBay charges.

$340 minus $270 for the Eldorado means the Compadre only cost me $70...:::!!!!:yikes:

My Compadre cost $70 dollars, not the $90 dollars I've been telling every one....

Man!! what a $70 metal detector. That's one of my best finds.:wiggle:

HH,

That's why it has been so good. Cheaper machines tend to function better than the expensive ones. I keep hoping that I'll find one at a yard sale for about 25.00. If I do, I'll "set the World on fire". Until then, looks like I'll be using that expensive Silver uMax. Heh!

I'm not a betting man :poke:
And I bet it was worth every penny of it.
And I bet it has paid for itself also.
And I bet it will pay itself over and over.
And I bet you have no heart ache getting $70.00 worth of machine.
And I bet that Compadre is worth more than $70.00 to you.
And I bet you got a better deal than me.
And I bet less is more:blink:
And I bet your 100% satisfied with Compadre.
:beers:

Wish my last deal was as good.:veryangry:
Just picked up my 6th Tesoro. This time instead of going less is more - I went back in time. Just wanted to add one of the classics I guess.
It was bought new, never put into action, then I happen to show up, threw batteries in, Beeeepppp !!!! works :detecting:
Don't know anything about this one - but just couldn't pass up the deal.

Congrats on the Bandido.

If monte is right, and I'm sure he is, you've got your self one of the best Tesoro's ever made.

I thought you were gitting the uMax. But your ouiginal Bandido II is supposed to be even better.

I envy your purchase and your chance to try out one of the great classics.

Good luck,

my compadre has cost a little more..$410 aud (post incl). it should arrive monday. in which case i will be on the other side of the continent in perth....so i wont be able to play with it until thursday next week when i return.

Why and what do you like best about it??..

Hay El,

I been using the Compadre 9 out of 10 times sense I started using it.

Reasons are, it has been so wet that the relic and artifact sites I hunt are wet.
If I get wet and cold after a few holes I'm done for. The targets are too deep and
my body can't take it. That leaves the dryer sites and the targets are shallower
and the sites are trashier. That's where the Compadre shines. It detunes itself
better than anything. Super fast recovery. Almost instant response. Handles
masking and harsh ground with just one knob. That knob is connetcted to
the best discreminator I got.

There is another thing about the Compadre. The tone is so good that it has
totally spoiled me. Maybe it's just me, but that tone is so good that I have
trouble using my other two, which have wonderful tone, by the way. It's just
that when I use the other two, I'm comparing them to the Compadre, which,
to me is the best.

HH,

That's a nice looking Bandido, Tab!
Gosh, it's 'as new'!

Quite a bit like my Pantera, except I don't have the autotune function, but mine has a notch.

I'm sure you'll be very pleased with it.
