hi all
ive just bought myself a fisher coinstrike and would be grateful for any feedback as to weather it will improve the performance of this machine to add a DD coil which i think is 11" by 8"
thanks NCT

I thought they only made a 5in 8in and a 10.5 in for the fisher coinstrike I also own one, and those are the only coils I could find for my coinstrike, my works great with the stock coil the machine itself is a little noisy..

hi
sorry i was not very clear but i was thinking of upgrading the coil but i have had to give up this idea as i cannot find an upgrade coil to fit my coinstrike anywhere thank you

Have you checked with the forum sponsors?

Try the 10.5 it is fairly powerful I took my down to the Yakima river it has lots of black sands and hot rocks this thing performend like a champ in the black sand enviroment really good depth no problems with noise if you are any where near power lines, houses, tranformers, anything like that and it becomes noisy, DD coils are made for mineralised soil and the fisher coinstrike does not see them for some reason, I have tested my 5 other detectors in this soil including a eureka gold by minelab and the fisher seems to be the least affected, and I also tested my 8 inch coil same good results.
