I & I Seeded Hunt

Larry and I went up to Davenport, IA to the I & I Club's Seeded hunt. We saw a few familiar faces from our club also. They had two hunts and the last hunt had more silver coins, tokens and also cost $20 for an entry fee.

We had thought that the hunt was sponsored by Minelab with it being National Metal Detecting Day as it was last year, but Minelab had nothing to do with it. Last year they had some really nice prizes. Last year all tokens were for metal detectors. and Larry won one.

The second hunt also had 4 tokens planted. I found a token shortly after the hunt started and since I thought I had won something nice, I stopped hunting to let the others get more coins. After others were finishing up on the field. I turned my token in and to my surprise was a autographed postcard from the two idiots that are on the "Digger" show on Nat.Geo. What a joke. I would have rather kept the token. The token was worth more than the postcard. Larry called it a "fire starter". LOL. At least we all got a good laugh out of it. I gave it to a young man that watches the show and he was happy to have it. Lesson learned....Don't stop detecting till you're done.

Here's what I brought home minus the "postcard". LOL.

but we still had a good time, well worth the $20 entry fee. I found $10.25 in clad and $3 in silver. I counted 6 PATH members in attendance, good times and good eats made for a fine, cool day of hunting.
