I Hope I Haven't Peaked Out!

Last Friday afternoon I took the SE out to test the new WOT coil from Detector Depot. I went to a Delaware beach and began swinging and fiddling with the settings to optimize the machine with the new coil and learn its pinpointing characteristics. After about 2 hours I had found about a buck in change and assorted junque. Then, right at the high tide line, I got a nice solid 08 - 18 hit. Did a scoop and, lo and behold, a silver colored man's wedding band sifts out! I thought: Why didn't this thing indicate as silver? Maybe it's some kind of cheapo electro plate. I popped it in my pocket, and since I was tired and hot, went on home. WELL NOW, when I got home and began rehydrating with an adult beverage I took a good look at the inside band of the ring with a magnifying glass I saw the letters "PLAT" stamped in it. There was no other inscription. I weighed it on my scale and it came in at 12 grams! I thought: OH MY GOD!! I checked the daily price of platinum and did a calculation and this baby is worth $800 melt value!! I did the calculation again and I was right!! Then I did some more rehydrating.
This is truly my best find to date.
