I heard that the Tesoro is best in competition hunts...Please explain....

Dont know about the best part, but Tesoro is my choice due to weight and the new cibola not only is a deep seeker but has frequency change capability to keep out interference with other hunters. I have used Compass, Whites, Bounty Hunters, Garrets and Minelabs, but my favorites are all Tesoros. I didnt like a Tesoro with manual ground balance for staged hunts as with the speed you tend to hit the controls and knock the ground blance off and this can make for problems. Have been using detectors for 25 years and selling them for 20 and Tesoros have my vote.

I used my Cibola at our club hunt this summer and it was awesome!!! What the others have said is gospel!!!! It was dead on pinpointing and if some other machine causes interference you just flip the frequency lever and keep moving. I was very impressed and cleaned up too by the way;) Tesoros are the best

You can sweep the coils very fast and still get target response, and they are very easy to pinpoint with. Being light also helps with being able to sweep them fast. I still use my wifes Cutlas II for every competition hunt, and I love it!
