Been busy making plans to move down into the same neck of the woods where Ed lives.....move over Ed!!

Got a bunch of junk and something heavey with very thick crustation on it......may be several coins stuck together.

We are hoping to have the move completed by June. It takes a lot to close a business and sell a house and go into retirement at the same time. Many issues to take care of.........plus the start of building a new home once we get there. Land is already bought out in the boondocks of Fla.

Can always shoot the alligators and snakes.....we have rattle snakes here too along with an awful lot of 2 legged snakes and a govt. that is to easy with our tax dollars. It's the ice that gets ya....knocks out power, ya fall down and break bones and makes driving impossible sometimes.
Over all cost of living is out of control here.

... give you my former Yankee (Indiana) opinion of East coast versus West (Gulf) coast .... and if you choose SW Florida ..... where to buy / not buy due to RE taxes .... best beaches to detect, good realtor to use, etc.

Housing market is in the big dumper here now so you'll be able to get a house or condo for thousands if not hundreds of thousands less than they were priced one or two years ago. HUGE housing values available here.

If you still want to be a full or part time nurse, the hospitals are screaming for more help. You won't earn the same hourly wage you earned "up north" due to Florida being a right to work state and our history of management and hourly employees being paid in "sunshine" = great weather / laid back, no tie, no suit lifestyle. E-mail or PM me if you need my phone number to answer any questions you may have.

Houses here have no basements and very cramped very hot attics so throw away / sell everything you have had stored away and not used within the past 6 months or year. No room for it.

When you get to SW Florida, buy a UF Gators front license plate and start reading up on the team coach and players. Bet $2 with Bubba against Auburn and Elson against LSU. At worst you'll break even, and in normal years Bubba will pay ya $2 and Elson will owe it to you.

We will certainly look you up when we finally get there. We will be about 45 miles east of Sarasota and south of Rt. 70. 10 acres of farm land has already been bought, now we need to find a good builder who will do poured concrete walls and a well driller who won't tap into China's aquifers.
