..found all this at a old church lot. The place is super cool looking. Its in a small town and there is a 1860s church and school right next to each other. A big lot between the two and this is where all this came from. Great fun!

Just had fun today. Its great to be at a cool old site and pull some neat old finds. Jim

I headed south today. My boss told me about a 130+ y.o. church that was demo'ed. I ended up searching a village park that's at least 90 years old. Got 5 Wheat's. Man, that ground's dry! I should have jumped into a lake!

Of course, my patience is wearing thin. I need to into junk mode again.

I should have taken my bolt cutters with me. There was quite a bit of copper electrical wiring laying around that I could have saved for scrap, had it not still be attached to the building somewhere.

What I really need to do is get my headphones fixed. I've got an intermittent short at the plug, so the volume cuts in and out as I move. I'm also developing an intermittent short at the plug on at least one of my coils. Both of those are just simple soldering jobs.

I'll probably go back to the village park once we start getting some rain. I'm sure there's some deeper, older goodies there, but the dry soil makes for some hard digging, although the iron halos are usually smaller.

It was kind of funny, as I had a local resident come up and ask me if I was getting anything good. He knew exactly what I was up to, as he buys/sells coins for a living.
