Picked up a BHID 300 should be here tomorrow!! Taking it out to learn it in Lake superior. I did my research best I can and chose it over the Excalibur for 2 reasons. I like the idea of having it serviced if need be in a timely manner and also due to the reviews I have read. Seems to fit my bill nicely. Here is hoping my choice is solid!! :)

Im a Whites guy, I have a V3i and a Eagle II SL 90 , I had a BHID im in California it dident Like the Black sand and i needed a volume ,
I went with the Tesoro Tiger Shark for fresh water, If Whites had a good Waterproof VLF unit I would have one, Mickfin

I think you will like the BHID, real nice water hunter. Good luck in the lake.

I like mine had it about 3 years.....the lights are a big help I don.t dig red light at the beach it saves a lot of time.....hh....Dan

Well I have it tested it for about 2 hours. Dug alot of gold signals that turned out to be pull tabs and bottle caps. Did not dig any iron or nails. I love the lights and all metal that is so helpful. Did not go into the water as it was freezing and windy today all the ships were in the bay even it was so bad. So far I really like this detector. Tomorrow we go in the water!!. Gotta work on ground balance but getting plenty of depth so far :)

Well this detector is been a pleasure to use. I finally at the end of the day super tuned it and went out and wow does it go alot deeper. I pulled so much out of the water from bullets to shells down 12+ inched to a 1906 indian head at 11" :) It rang between coin and jewelry on the lights and really banged thru the headphones!!

Pics later but I am really liking this machine!!
