I have to say I was wrong about the Elite! It made a believer out of me today!!

I was finding wheats at up to 10" today then I get a slight zing which was scratchy at best (to be honest sounded like junk) but was getting a zing so decided to dig!! I was almost to my elbow taking dirt out of hole and found a 1957 Rosey :) This is going to sound crazy cause I have been detecting for a while now but I never new what a really deep target sounded like till today!! I can't count how many of those sounding targets I past up with my XS2apro???? (WHAT HAVE I LEFT IN THE GROUND?????) :stars:

changes. I am always listening for those faint signals and if they climb when I remove some sand, I know it is probably a good target. And quarters on edge will do pretty much the same thing. At the beach I dig alot, just to prove it is good or bad. If you are getting deep and no target is found, raise your coil up about 6" and if the sound stays with it with 6" of air between the coil & the bottom of the hole, it's one of two things: it's either a can or the target is on the side of the hole. "Shave" some sand off the side of the hole, remove it and then do the coil lift again. If it stays with 6" or so of air from the coil to the sand, it's a more than likely a can. Of course, it could be a large Treasure chest too!!!!
