I have thought and thought about the audio on the AT-Pro in iron audio mode

And in my way of thinking...........

The Audio is very reminiscent of a Nautilus style....

when the iron audio is engaged I have noticed if the target is so deep it cant give a tone but know's it's there it gives just the threshold type wah sound yet very faint and letting you know it needs to be investigated further,,,,

now on target's it can read that are not iron it gives just a slight wah before and after especially in the dirt..

on target's it know's is iron it signal's substantially before the target....

If you have ever run the Nautilus you know that this is the way a nautilus behave's

all metal mode running at the same time as disc......

and by the very nature iron will signal earlier on all metal then in disc and on good targets usually tight and right on top of the beep of disc which drowns out the all metal wah ..
and deep targets out of the disc range will give an faint all metal wah sound...

seems to be some sort of the same scenario taking place on the At-Pro...

it's not exactly like it but it's really close...

I believe some all metal threshold is bleeding in on the audio...

it's very unique...

just some preliminary food for thought...

I'll have to check it again, but I believe that I replicated it on my V3 by setting everything below 0 on the vdi to the same low tone and having everything above set to multitone. just run the disc. at 0 (accept all). Shorten the recovery delay and.. viola! ..Willy.

I haven't had chance to try it yet but there should be some signal at least somewhat past descrim depth.
