I have one big tip that's a no brainer.

And I bet some of our sponsors even have some available. That would be a water proof pouch. Just big enough for cell phone, keys, maybe some cash. I wish I would have thought about it two trac phones ago. Just the right size to hang off your neck, tuck into waders or wet suit.
Been making preparations for getting underway for the Gulf Coast, couple of months. Taking the Infinium L/S and the AT Pro. No great expectations, goals, just going to relax and let it happen.

I tried a couple of the hard plastic "Waterproof" boxes. Neither of them were truly waterproof as I got moisture in both of them . I have been using a plastic "water resistant" pouch for quite a while with no problems. I keep a key to the vehicle and my cell phone in the pouch.

Had a real scare with my hearing aids. Forgot to take them out and was wading in waist deep water when a rogue wave took me out. I did not see it coming and got dunked. One of my hearing aids quit immediately. I came home and put the aid in my hearing aid dryer for a couple of cycles and it works find.

If it can get wet the ocean will definitely find a way to ruin it for you.

I am a fan of the raw rice trick for drying out electronics. I am also a cheapskate and keep a box of ziplock bags in the vehicle. I also am a fan of a d-ring on the belt for keys and found rings.

Ive been fortunate with my trac phone while hunting with the excal, never lost one yet..they are so light weight that i just put it in one of those spring clip on nylon small cell phone pouches and clip it to the top of my headphones on the cross piece that connects to the earcups.. now ive got a big tip for anyone wishing to try this... dont forget to turn the vibration mode off and also turn the ringer volume down lest you be like me after several hours of hunting and forget you even have the phone with you then the wife calls and you cant figure out why you're getting such a strong overload signal that rattles your ears so much that you run out of the water and rip the headphones off your head only to realize it's just an incoming call..lol..

Do a search on the web and try something like this one:

Crenova® BP-02 100% Waterproof Pouch Snowproof Dirtproof Sandproof Case Bag with Super Lightweight

There are ones that just fold over on the top and close with Velcro and others that have twist knobs to keep them closed.
I do not keep my phone on while out in the surf...but I can keep it with me and my ID, and a few bucks for a drink or what ever.
