I have moved all my bird feeders

onto my deck, right outside the doorwall and I was standing there yesterday watching and there was a flash of black and I looked and then it happened again, too dang close and fast to lock onto it with my eyes. I thought, "That was a hawk!"

I ran to grab my video camera but it did not come back and I was still not sure what I saw. I stood there scanning then woods and then I saw the little guy setting out on a limb, about a hundred feet away. I grabbed this shot with my video camera. I doubt it got the bird but he was sure looking around :D

time it dove, I was standing in the house looking out the door wall and it was only about 8 ft away. Fun to see and I can afford a chickadee or two :D

Hawks cleaned them out in short order. Lot of red tail hawks here that hunt this place in the day. Owls at night. Glad I'm not on the food menu....

While sitting at our table casually watching the birds at the feeder one winter day I saw the same flash and a puff of flying feathers as a large hawk nailed a small bird and never even slowed down!
