Thanks Jim. I would be a little nervous to buy out in a different Country. I thought at one point Gold Diggers was going to sell them but didn't hear anything about it yet. And that was 6 months ago. GS

Have you contacted them..... because I read that as well.

The NEL Hunter coil did not do well on my Excal in salt water. There was lots of falsing regardless of the mode and sensitivity setting. The falsing was not caused by EMI or other outside factors. I have not tried it on land with the Sovereign.

I talked to Ron at Gold Diggers and he told me that Nel is still working on them for about six months now and is have problems with them working in salt water. So I asked him when he thinks that Nel would have them available and he says maybe in a month from now. But that could change. So I am still looking for a 8 inch coil for my Sov. XS and GT . GS

Not the first ive heard that but it was on the CTX and salt water. Shame I like the foot print. Mel.... how did you do man? Get any of that easy gold? Was it not able to operat in Pp?

No gold lots of coins, one large silver earring, junk jewelry and three 50 caliber machine gun shells like the ones in the picture. I was on Anna Maria Island where the beach had been replenished and the water was cold. NEL has some work to do so their coils will work in the salt. My Tornado and BBS coils were steady as a rock.

Mel,good to know there to could be a problem with a Nel coil using it in salt water.Cool article on historic find. Thanks Ron

Not so historic in my area..... pretty common find Ron. Venice is a man made island created for ship and air base during world war.

had a NEL on the etrac and it falsed like mad on the wet salt.

best big after market coil for salt ?? this one for the Sov. Detech any good?

The word has it that the Detech SEF 12x10 and 13" Ultimate for the Minelab Sovereign do well in the salt water.

Search the forums here for the Detech 12x10 and you will find a lot of data in regard to it.

(I was lucky enough to locate a used 12x10 and I should be receiving it shortly.)
