night on my home for the past three weeks since I got back from Alabama so I can put it up for sale, I am spent and dog tired, going to work at my job then come home and work on the house all night. I am ready to put it on the market and there will be a forsale sign up in the front yard by no later then midweek. I have done more work on this old house in three weeks then I did in the 15 years that I have lived here, I gotta tell ya folks, what a difference alittle mudding and painting can make.

I have a friend that is interested in the house and was gonna stop by today to look at it but called me and said he and Shelly are running late, they spent the weekend up north at Gordys cabin, I said no problem, just stop by within a day or two because the for sale sign is going up!

Here are just a few pictures of what I have been busy with, this is the lower level of my stairwell, not shown are the two landings leading up to the second story, alot of work getting it ready for paint.

Did you know that you can take a boring angle like this.

And turn it into this with alittle work, 45 degree angle with light fixture and ceiling fan, all those years in the trades paid off for me, this is my handy work and I did it all myself

I cleaned out the basement of all the junk that I have gethered over the years and painted the front porch today, hooked up the phone line to the garage also, trimed the evergreens in the front of the house, ran a new phone line into the basement, touched up any paint that needed it, been a busy little bee forsure but I am at where I said I would be in three weeks, ready to sale, hang on Craig, the General is coming!

Anyone checking out your house might have a different opinion of the house and neighborhood based on this ....

... versus this ....

I did the same thing to my house in Oregon and in the end the things that really mattered were the yard, general visual appearance, and clean.
Most things I worked hard on were a waste of time because everyone who looked at it had different tastes etc.... and after I busted my butt and painted the entire interior of the house (3000 sq ft) the new owners painted it a different color.
My neighbor retiled all of his bathrooms and they looked really great. After he sold his house the new owner tore out all the tile and put down vinyl....... go figure.
Funny how you fix all the stuff right before you move but you lived with it broke for the whole time you were there.
You house looks very nice !
take care,
Mike
