just bought a 128 meg smart memory at Best Buy with a free reader for 60 bucks. Good for 164 pics at the level I usually take. The book says that the 3030z will only take a 64 meg card but I called them and they said that the 128 is good. They weren't out when the book was written.
I tried it in the camera and it reads it fine.
I have enough memory for over 500 shots, at a pretty good quality. Ought to be plenty for the cruise. I took 340 in Costa Rica last year and it is fun just shooting anything you want to. Dump the bad ones.
When I travel in my truck I usually take a laptop to down load the things but don't want to take it on the cruise. Last time I went through PR I had a detector stolen!! <IMG SRC="/forums/images/frown.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":(">

I have both the C3030 and E-10 and I can't seem to keep up with the deals out there. Two weeks ago I picked up a 128MB CF card for $40 which allows me to have a 64MB SM AND 128MB CF card loaded in the E-10. You simply throw a switch to go from one card to another; a lot of storage!
The C3030 is my "point-and-shoot" and a 128MB SM looks to be the choice here. And when you travel keep your spare 64MB SM's in a small foam zippered pouch made by Lowepro. Clip on your belt and you have enough storage to keep click'n for weeks.

have two -128's, 4 -64's , two 32's and a 16. I fugure it is over 700 shots and that should be plenty. We went to Costa Rica last spring and I took over 340 and it was great to just shoot everything and sort them later.
I ended up keeping everything. :0) I save them to cd raw and then made another cd with EZcreator 5 and distributed it to everyone on the trip. That program adds a small program on the disk that automaticly runs a slide show when it is put in the tray.
I use this program for all my kids birthday partys and Christmas. Good way to save the pictures and can print them anytime I want.
