a new rechargable battery and the charger itself? I looked on Kellyco, but didn't see the rechargable battery. If you happen to have a part #, it would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Tim

Tim - For many years I used the rechargeable batts in my 1266 till I got it back from Fisher for a repair about 1 1/2 years ago. They had put in regular batteries so I figured why not use them up. Well, I sure did notice a difference in the depth & sounds. Now I use the reg batts all the time -they do last a long time and I go out detecting 2-3 times a week. Been using my 1266 for about 14 years now, steve in so az

I have a 1266x also and no longer use rechargables. The charger itself is 15 volt at 250MA. Originals are nicads and have different charging requirements than the current Nimh batteries. So if you do get any, make sure they are the correct ones. You could just get batteries and charge them out side the detector. There are many places online that sell rechargables. Just get 2 holders and 8 batteries.
