I own a mxt pro.I once read what dick stout said and it has stuck with me.You can never have enough different coils in your arsenal. If
it where you guys would you get the 6"dd that kellyco has.I mostly coin and relic hunt. Thanks for reading and I thank you four input.....

Maybe Dick did not realize that there would be over 20 different coils made to use with the MXT/Pro.............. yes you can have too many IMHO. The Excelerator 6" is a great coil for extreme trash in very mineralized ground otherwise the 5.3 ( 6 inch ) concentric is really hard to beat for a coin hunting coil in trash with great depth.

Larry's right about too many coils. I try to be selective. The 5.3 is hard to beat in a trashy area.

I agree with the opinions on the 5.3, but if you often hunt in extremely heavy trash the 4X6 is better yet, although with some dept loss. Also is a good coil for crevicing for nuggets if you ever plan to prospect.

I hunted a middle school 2x before I switched to my 6" dd Excellerator coil. I ended up finding $6.00 in coins that day. It definetley made a difference. All I use is the 6" DD, the stock 950 and the 12" supercoil. Thats all I need. The 6" is good for the trashy areas, the 950 is good anywhere, And I use the 12" in those big open (non trashy) areas when relic or coin hunting.
