I have a Vision!

Hi,

Just got my Vision and all I can say is WOW! Absolutely amazing.

The menu system and control access are superb. Anyone who gets this detector will see immediately that a huge amount of thought has gone into this detector. The search screen is great and the analyze screen is simply a jaw dropper.

One thing that I wondered about was the screen readability. The backlighting is great in low light conditions. But the screen is even better in direct sunlight! Must be using some sort of reflective color screen. The only time I had a hard time reading the screen was in direct sunlight but with the screen in my shadow. So as you detect it is best to position yourself to keep the screen in the sun. In addition, the Zoom feature allows you to zoom in and make small text larger, again enhancing readability.

Well, I've only just played a bit with the detector so can't comment on much with any intelligence yet. I'm getting beat up pretty bad at work right now so my time is very limited. But it sure makes a heck of a first impression!

Congratulation on getting one early.......... my 2 dealer's said April 1st?........... keep us updated.

Rob in ca,

Big congrats on the new Vision. Make sure and let us all know how it works for you! It'll be a while for me to get one but...I do have access to one for learning it! Just coming down with a nasty cold and don't know if I'll be able to get out as planned tomorrow. Supposed to have a rainy, nasty day here in the Seattle area tomorrow (and don't want to get sicker!) If not tomorrow...maybe on Friday? Good luck and have some fantastic finds!

Hi,

White's is shipping. Check with your local dealer. It will take a bit to catch up to intitial demand.

Hi Bill,

Yup, about 25 degrees and snow on the ground. I'll have to go hunt snow dumps for now and bench test, which tells me nothing about depth in the ground. But instructive nonetheless.

I want to know two things initially. How does the Vision work when I hunt by ear? Because that is how I hunt. Second, will the new analyze screen help me tell pull tabs from rings? I'm a gold guy so I'll let the experts down south sort out the coin thing. I have never seen a detector give me more information about a target than the Vision does - intuitively. But how does that end up working in the real world? Time will tell. But I'm very intrigued. Actually playing with the machine now and just came up to get a bite to eat and check in.

For people who are attached to analog audio I can tell you this - the audio is distinctly digital. I can hear the tiny steps in VCO as compared to a smooth analog type audio. I do not find it unpleasant at all, just different.

I have a feeling that the Vision may be what we in retail call a "game changer". It appears to have the power, and the feature set blows anything else on the market away.

..have you been able to do any side-by-side tests between an MXT?GMT and the Vision? I'm kinda curious about it's small gold finding capabilities. ..Willy.

Looks to be a game changer and now the first reports seem to underline that too.

How secret have this project been, game changers often stay alone in the market a long time when others struggle to come up with something new.

The word dropfeed teknology dont seem to be in The Whites vocabulary, this thing is loaded with new stuff. :please:

Did colonel Corso really visit Sweet Home too after that Roswell Crash. Yea, I heard the rumors...:yikes:

Who knows, you might just see the light!
Sorry. I couldn't help myself. It was just too tempting to pass up an opening like that. I do hope that you have many hours of enjoyment with your new machine.
Mick Evans.

I notice that it says on the website that it has a language option, I assume in the Expert Menu. Does anyone know what languages are available and are they controlled by the user or sold with the language set??

That was answered in another post. An international version will be out with that option. Keep in mind, everything we have seen so far are pre-production models.

Always a good idea to read previous posts. Been answered already by Carl.

Just go to the top of the page - click search - pit in the key word or words (for ex. language) - select the Vision Forum from the drop down list and ckick search.

Well, it will be quite a while before I can afford the Vision:( So for now I hate all you guys that will be getting one soon:devil:
