I have a question on pinpointing.

On my Explorer2 I have to X the target when I pinpoint. I am not getting any identification either. It seems I am almost better off leaving it in the hunting mode (which is conductive for me) and X'ing the target.
For those of you who hunt with the explorer SE do you like that pinpoint? Isn't it like a vco and gets louder as you approach target center?

I pin point on the top of my coil. Find a target then wiggle the coil back toward you until it disappears.... should be right at the end of your coil. I rarely use PP.... but yes its VCO.

I pinpoint just like Dew does with the SE; find the target and wiggle it while drawing it back towards me until the sound disappears. I then mark it with a golf T and repeat that action 90
