I was on ebay and I saw a person selling a clip-on 7mm RFI EMI Filter that fits on the tesoro coil cables. They look like a black or grey
filter that fits on the coil cable that helps keep out interference from high power lines, radio towers, police radios,etc..Do any of you guys
know if these are worth buying. They only cost $4.97 plus $2.00 s/h can anyone help me with this question that I have on this item..
Thank you..

Total waste on a detector.

Plenty of threads and posts on several forums about these things over the years, many from users that tried them on all kinds of detectors.
The consensus is for the most part there is still a sucker born every minute.

i use a vaquero and have had only one issue with emi. it was close to an underground water pump station for a city water supply. it made the threshold volume go up and down in all metal mode. still hunted though and found stuff. just could ground balance it. no problem with it around power lines and such.

I don't think they work on detectors. They were made for radios. We use them on ham radios so they do not interfear with your TV or steario. Keeps the neighbors happy too... KEN from Ind.

It is a total waste on anything unless you are in very close proximity to an RF circuit or a bunch of single and three phase motors or transformers !!!!1
