I have a question concerning the Nikon Coolpix 5700....................

I have both the owners manual and a book by the title of "A short Course in Nikon Coolpix 5700 Photography." No where can I find out how to attach a filter to this camera. Do you need to use an adapter similar to the Nikon UR-E8 adapter used to attach the telephoto and wide angle lens to the camera? This brings up another issue, will a filter screw directly onto the telephoto lens. Last question, same situation as using a filter, when using close-up lenses do you need an adapter and if so, does anyone know the part number? I am disappointed in that Nikon does not provide any information on this subject in the owner's manual, they probably assume that you already have this knowledge. Apparently the lens adaptors came out after the 5700 did so they may not be mentioned in the manual.

Evidently, Nikon's approach is to use an adapter which may force you to use their filters. I will owe you one for helping me on this subject. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas)
