General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

So last night I got on here and purchased two CTX3030's off of the classifieds for a co-worker and myself. I commented on each thread that the paypal had been made.

I get up this morning to see if they had acknowledged the message in the classifieds forum and I have zero access to the classifieds.

I am a relatively new user to the forum, and I have since read that I am not even supposed to have any access to the classifieds for 90 days and x amount of posts.

So now I am in limbo. I have the two paypal's that I sent, but have no way of seeing the two threads that I got the ctx's on.

Could someone look at the threads and let me know if they responded.

One was from Minelab mike, and the other is foreign object.

Thanks all. If an admin happens to see this please grant me access to the classifieds again until I get the detectors. Then you can put me back on the new user probation from the classifieds.

It kind of stinks that I go on there and Spend over 3k dollars and I can't even see them.
 
Foreign objects ad says sold to you..and minelab mikes says no longer available..so i think your good to go..

I took my detector off the forum because I decided I am going to keep it I am tired of dealing with flakes like these 2 guy, ijraptor along with his sidekick is a liar a theif and a scammer, 3 different times they said the money was sent and they were liars. they need to be deleted permanently from the forum and all the forum members better beware of these guys

I don't appreciate you running my name through the mud. I paid in full on Friday night to the address he provided.

So now the question is are you going to refund my money if you aren't going to ship the machine?
 
Woah woah. Before you go capping on our names maybe you should check your paypal. Minelabmike. We sent you the money 2 days ago and you have already accepted the money in paypal. You need to quit accusing us of stealing, lying, and being a scam artist? You have the money you need to live up to your end of the deal like we have lived up to ours.

I have posted a screen shot of our paypal transaction to Minelabmike. It's the 1,500 dollar transaction.
 
you are both liars and it will be proved through paypal tomorrow and if anything is there it will be sent back as I would not sell my detector to either of you scam artist for no amount of money. also those fake receipt your showing on here does not show paypals insignia any where on them that receipt could be from anywhere
 
I don't understand how you can call us liars. I sent the money to you Friday evening. Spoke with you on the phone As well and everything seemed great.

Next thing I know you are on here calling me out.

When you figure out how to get into your PayPal please complete a refund as I will buy from somewhere else.

I purchased another detector at the same time (ctx 3030) from Foreign Object. We have been in contact with him as well and he isn't calling us liars.

I would love to have him chime in on this thread.
 
he also has not received any funds from either one of you just some echeck that paypal told him not to ship any merchandise until the funds are there and that has not happened yet
 
Echeck is PayPal. It just takes two or three days to clear. I send them all the time through PayPal. I hope it all works out for all of you.
 
Thanks 7centworth this guy obviously doesn't know how paypal works, which he tries to make us look bad for him not understanding.
 
I would love to hear what Paypal told you today =] OHH I'll be looking forward to you apologizing to ijraptor and I! We just got a FULL REFUND from him, wait.......... which means HE HAD THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TRUST BUYING FROM MINELABMIKE. He told me on the phone first time we talked that if someone brought him more money in person he would give them the machine.....I have a feeling he double sold the machine and he was trying to get us banned so it wouldn't come back on him. Well karma is a you know what!

OK. For those who have been watching this. Minelabmike, I feel that you owe me and Idugthatup an apology. We paid for the CTX on Friday the 15th. You came on here calling us liars and cheats. Here is all of the evidence that you need. If anything you aren't an honest seller and backed out of your end of the deal and we should leave negative feedback about you. I will give you the benefit of the doubt though, and that you possibly don't know how paypal works. I will just buy another machine somewhere else. I also feel that the mods owe me an apology for changing my signature to something along the lines of not paying for items.

For anyone who cares I am willing to divulge my full information to anyone whom asks.

I have an excellent Job, and own two successful businesses, but I understand that it is irrelevant to total strangers and especially when it comes to dealing small sums of money.


He did send me a refund in full today. The full amount of $1500. I would say that how in the world could he send a refund if he never got paid in the first place.

Mods, he shouldn't be allowed to sell on the classifieds for a while since he backed out of his end of the deal or you should change his signature to something along the lines of backing out of a deal. I also understand that he has been a member for quite a while, and good ole boy politics wouldn't allow that to ever happen.

I am relatively new to MD'ing and this has left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. I would love more than anything to become more active in this forum sharing my digs, and camaraderie with fellow members, but to join a forum and then have a seasoned member call me a liar, cheat, thief is completely unacceptable, especially given the circumstances.
 
You have that covered in your snapshots of paypal. Don't let one bad apple destroy the whole barrel. There are tons & tons of wonderful people here on Findmall. You two proved your case. I can tell you a story too :rofl: and it is much worse then what you two just went through. The fact remains that it certainly did not deter me from buying and selling with others. I have made some wonderful friends and are extreme trustworthy too. There are some here on Findmall I could even trust with saving my life (if it ultimately came down to it). I hope you two reconsider your thoughts of leaving. - Jim

Thanks for the encouraging words. Thanks. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to "officially" buy on here yet although I was able to see classifieds and buy one ctx before I lost access from Foreign Object. I would rather do that and support everyone on here. But I just can't yet. I've been reading and learning as much as I can and I'm glad to be a part of here. It is great seeing the " Today's Finds" forum. . I went ahead and bought another ctx on ebay today. Sweet deal. Came with lots of goodies, but 17" coil, pinpointer, case, digger, sand scoop and more.
 
Received full payment from ijraptor. Not sure about the other mess with minelabmike ,I will keep my thoughts to myself, but I see no problem with the transaction and am pleased.
