I have a order to send to ARA ...One piece is not marked but I'm very sure its 18K or better...Am I fool to trust thier tester??

Most of the pieces I'm sending in are marked. I have an account with them so I'm in under the grandfather policy.

But one chain I found is butter soft & feels "right". Very heavy...It was surface find & not marked. I took a knife to an end link and made a small cut. It is very soft & yellow all through...24k would not suprise me.

So-

The reason I'm sending in my gold is I have a finacial emergency. I don't have time to drive around & hope for a free test or wait for a test kit to be shipped. Should I hold the unmarked piece -or trust thier tester...

I've had very good service from them & want to just send it in-but this one piece worries me...I need as much as I can get.
Thanks!

They will. My friend Kevin trusted them with a chain and found it was very old and 16K gold.

Danged if it wasn't a real keeper despite not being marked. They tested it twice as they are typically marked...14.18 grams chain..$744.81 melt value!!!

And it was sitting under a swing in an elementary school playground.

Thanks again to ARA!...
