Hi, fellow detectorist. My question is has anyone ever used a 10 x 12 coil on the M-6.I mainly do coin and jewlery hunting.
I hunt in near by parks, fairgrounds, baseball fields, soccer fields, football fields, and wide open areas. Can you help me with
any and all info.and what is this learning curve that I hear about when useing this coil.Do you have to wiggle the coil to
find the target, does this coil go deep and do you feel it is worth spending the money that they are asking.Thank You?

Hey Moose57
I have one and like it alot for the open areasas it has better coverage than the stock because it is a DD coil. The wiggle is to help seperate targets that are located close to Iron or trash. Good luck Bob

I'm also wondering if this could be the deepest coil for the M6/MXT on coin/ring sized targets? I'm still trying to find some opinions on that. Currently a friend has just bought the Whites V rated 10" double D for his M6 and is going to get the 5" Excelerator as we hear good things about that coil as well. The Excelerator 10" double D is said to be good too but haven't really heard it's any better than the Whites. We just need to find out which of the bigger coils is the kind of depth without losing sensitivity to coin/ring sized targets on this machine.

Hi Critterhunter, I to just got a 10" V rated coil for my MXT. I here that the V rated coils will go a little deeper than other coils, don,t know for sure, will find out when snow goes away. I also have the 5" coil that is one of the best small coil for trash i have ever seen, it will pick out good coins in trash like a chicken pick-en corn out of < well you know>. If you get a good vdi in with them jumping all over the place just try to pinpoint the good vdi and it will be a good coin. Good Luck Flintstone
