after reading through a lot of the never-ending thread below I can find no mention of the weight of the thing. So..how much does it weigh, in lbs? How comfortable is it? What about ease of use... all the thing's that matter after the purchase.

You're right I don't want to dig a bunch of holes that are 3' deep, but I will. I really don't want to dig deep holes after walking around several hours with a detector that does not feel right and is too heavy.

So, how about these things?
