Today was going back over a yard that I did a week or so a go. The soil in this yard was so hot that I had to crawl a long to just get a signal. If I went any faster then a 4 to 5 sec swing the MD'er would not get a signal on anything deeper then 2" and the signal that I did get were all broke up and numbers were all over the place. One good thing, this yard had very little trash in it. If I got a beep two ways, I dug it.
My finds for the day were a 59d Rosie, "2" V's a 1893 and a 1905, a 1896 IH cent, 5 wheat's and a brooch. Today's IH is my 50th for the year, Since I started MD'ing 4 years a go I've had a goal to find 50 IH's each year and this year is the first year I hit that goal, Yahoo.
I was using the X-505 with the 10.5 DD 7.5 coil, GB at 10 and sen at 18. The IH was at 3" deep and all the other finds were 5" to 7" deep.
