The weather was perfect for detecting.
I decided to detect an old park with the Outlaw this morning with the 8 inch doughnut coil attached. I set the discrimination to its minimum, threshold to a slight hum and wide open on the sensitivity. Right off I found the war nickel. I really like finding those as much as I do Mercury dimes. It was only around 4 inches deep, but it must have been on edge, because it was not a smooth signal. I also found a couple of Wheat Pennies (1958 & 1926 d), a 3 ringer bullet, an old spoon, a shotgun shell, a couple of buttons, half of a Kennedy Half Dollar, a old ring, and wick holder off of a lantern. After doing a Google search I found out that 1926 d is worth more than just a penny.
