I Had A Great Time Out Today With Tesoro Outlaw:tesoro::usaflag:

The weather was perfect for detecting.:detecting:

I decided to detect an old park with the Outlaw this morning with the 8 inch doughnut coil attached. I set the discrimination to its minimum, threshold to a slight hum and wide open on the sensitivity. Right off I found the war nickel. I really like finding those as much as I do Mercury dimes. It was only around 4 inches deep, but it must have been on edge, because it was not a smooth signal. I also found a couple of Wheat Pennies (1958 & 1926 d), a 3 ringer bullet, an old spoon, a shotgun shell, a couple of buttons, half of a Kennedy Half Dollar, a old ring, and wick holder off of a lantern. After doing a Google search I found out that 1926 d is worth more than just a penny.:)

Nice assortment of interesting stuff tabman, we don't find many three ringers around here..........Congrats

Great hunt. Nice war nickel. Whats up with that half of a half? Does that make it a quarter? :)

Very nice job tabman,

Boy there sure is a lot of trash in the grown now days. I find the same kinds of trash every time I hunt anymore people throw stuff everywhere. But if they did not throw stuff on the ground we would not find the goodies.:surprised: Some day they will have a radar detector He He!! and we will see it all before we dig 100%... Ah but what fun would that be He He!!! :rofl

Happy Hunting, :tesoro:

Cool finds TabMan. Them 3 ringers are hard to find. I don't know anyone in my area that has ever found one. I like that quarter dollar too. Nice pile of trash... KEN

Nice Finds, TN seems like an ideal MD location, lots of history and the ability to hunt year round. Thanks for sharing.

looks like an old shot shell pre 1920 ,yes this is your finest hour cool but not frozen.

It would have to be old, because the park was established around 1920. I thought of you when I found it.

I learned something else when I found the war nickel. I wasn't doing any thumbing when I was detecting, but I did check to see where the war nickel discriminated out after I dug it. It discriminates out just past where beaver tail pull tabs do. I guess if I was thumbing I probably would have passed over the war nickel. It pays to dig.

It pays to dig, it pays to dig. You say that all the time and today I listened to you! Found four rings, three junkers, one silver. Thanks Tabman. The area wasn't overly trashy so I did what you said. Yep I thought of you when I turned that disc way down! Today was a first for on nickels. Found four. Also got a ton of clad. My cache today looks just like your normal photos with a ton of tabs.. I figured it was a ring likely area so I did it your way! Glad I did!
