.............We are inviting the public to our church for a Soup/Sandwich Supper on the 14th of November. It is a fund-raising drive for our local Food Pantry, that gives food out once a month.(I am personally making my Chili, and corn bread for it).................SO:I had a thought today:WHAT goes better than some MUSIC for a dinner???I left a message with Pastor saying "Being I have all these songs in my head I can play on my old 6-string and play-songs that are not bad,but just not Sunday morning worship material-would it be OK to do some songs for entertainment at the dinner"???Im talkin John Denver(My #1 all time favorite performer)!!!;a song by Lacy J.Dalton(country),called "16th Avenue";which pays homage to the "boys that make the noise" down on Nashville's Music Row,Nitty Gritty Dirt Bands"its a long hard row"-about a guy that learns the hard way being a performer isnt all its supposed to be;and a BUNCH more I cant think of right now-songs that dont talk about drinkin, cheatin, etc.that don t belong in a church;Sunday morning or not,ya know???

Hope all turns out well and ya get to play some merry tunes and make folks happy in the Lord! Amen! Ma Betty

Welcome cherokee to our forum and hope you stay with us! Where bouts in FL do you live? May brother lived in Hollywood, FL for years and years before he came back to St. Louis and lived with me before passing away Aug 12, 09! I sure do miss him, but glad he was able to be with me for as long as he was, because my sister, brother and I hadn't seen him since 1984 when he came up for our mother's funeral! The change in the weather sure made him feel the colder climate though! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Hope you like the web site.
God bless.

Mike
