Hit the low tide in the surflane from 2am to 6am. Targets aplenty and quite a few DEEPIES...20 quarters, one of them a 1969. Also a few pieces of junk jewelry and a not-silver ring. Then the silver ring with small diamond chips...probably real...very small. And then the find of the day for me, the heavy 14K ring with one medium and two small diamonds. When I hear that on my Excalibur I KNEW I had a gold ring...no doubt about it. Looks kind of good on my finger...think I'll keep it. I usually do better on my weekend wee-hour hunts on Sunday morning, after a good Saturday beach day. The Friday night/Saturday morning hunt is usually poor to lukewarm. So being as how this one was so good, I have to hit it again tomorrow!
Here are some pics...diamond rings are tough to photograph...piture doesn't do it justice. Oh, anybody have any specifics on the markings? Never saw those before.
