I gotta tell ya folks, my move to Alabama was probably .......

the best move I have ever made in my life thanks to Bubba, Craig, he made it happen. I really enjoy my job and I haven't been able to say that for almost 20 years. This loading and unloading of lumber is all new to me, making pallets is hard work believe it or not, it's not for the lazy azz.

Best part is I get to work side by side with Craig, he has been doing this all his life and knows what he is doing, Craig can sit in the office all day and kick back but thats not Craig, Craig loves to be in the yard getting his hands dirty and that tells me alot about bubba.

After almost two months I am happy that I made the move, I am still learning and have many things to learn but boy it is coming faster every day. My goal at Miller Lumber company is to load a truck faster then Craig, when I have done that "and nobody has ever been able to beat him in all these years" then I will be able to say, get outa my way Bubba

I am starting to look at lumber and without using a tape call it as I see it, 10 foot, 12 foot or 14 or 16 foot, I just love that part, even made the right call last week before Craig  but that don't happen often:blink:

Craig is a great boss and yet still a better friend, Craig gives me alot of rope and does not get mad at me, he only gives me that look every now and then but at the same time I look for that look, that tells me either I am right or wrong.

I have always been a hard worker and always willing to show up Saturdays and Sundays if the boss ask me to but for the first time in 20 years I will have Thanks Giving weekend off, better yet Craig is shutting down the lumber yard a day before Thanksgiving for a total of 5 days, now how cool is that, that is unheard of in the drywall bussines.

Thanks Craig, thanks for everything, your what we Yankees call good as good gets

I'm really glad you are doing good and are happy Ray. It takes about a year to adjust to a major change in someones life.

To tell the truth, I thought by some of your post, that it wasn't working out so good for you and I'm relieved I was wrong. One day you will beat Craig at loadin a truck but I don't think it will be for another year or so. Like you said, he's been at it for a long time. Kinda like me with a chainsaw, I cut coming and going, up and down, forward and backward all at the same time. 11 years in the tree business.

Here's to you Bud
