To make a long story short.. I sent back in my prism 6t ( under warrenty ) because it just "seemed" not to be hitting targets just right.. Ya, it would find targets, but there seemed a sort of lag time/delay from coil movement to it sounding off..so. off it went..Waited a few days till I called there and got right thru to the tech that was working on the unit.. He had it right in front of him and the first thing he said was the coil was NO GOOD.. Failed every test he put it thru. After replacing the coil, He hunted with it on a wide variety of test beds they use there, and just to be certain no other issues would arrise, he replaced the electronics in the unit too !!! Got it back today, and HOLY CRAP.. if it hunts in the field the way it air test....Look Out.

If only all business' did business like whites does.......the world would be a better place........HMMMMMMMMMMM........I voting for whites in next presidential election!
 
I couldn't agree more with their service and repair tech's. Got my 10yr old xlt back last week, now its like brand new, new coil, electronics, lcd face , and internals. It took a few weeks, but it was well worth it. Total bill $62.59 plus $15.00 shipping from Sweet Home, Oregon to Belchertown,Ma. I checked the price of a new 9.5" coil, and its $149.00 by itself, get the drift. So Yes they get another shout out from me as well. Ron

I too, agree about Whites service...I recently attended a Gold show in Salem, and I watched a fairly well advertised metal detector dealer making a pitch to a potential customer for another brand of metal detector, and he was saying "the Whites has a 2 year warranty, this "brand" has a 5 year warranty...2 years for Whites-5 years for this "brand"...I dont know....kindof sells itself." Well, I would of liked to have told this potential customer what I know, and what many Whites customers know....2 year, 5 year warranty, it doesnt matter, they will take care of anyone who has a metal detector with the Whites logo on the side. It doesnt matter if you got your detector off Ebay, Rbay, ybay, out of a dumpster, or fished it out of a river....they take great pride in all of their detectors, and go the extra, extra mile to take care of the people that own them. I recently sent my Goldmaster II to them for repair, and they troubleshot, calibrated and tested it, the technician even called me and asked me a few questions about the problem I had encountered, and sent it back to me in perfect condition, and this is a 20 plus year old detector!! Im 54 years old, and there are not many companies like this anymore.
Prior to the Gold show, I went up to Sweet Home, and got a tour of the factory, and I can tell you that Whites detectors are extremely well made, they have NO rival in quality, and the materials and processes that are used in the construction of their detectors, is way beyond and above what others have, and these folks appeared to me to be proud of what kind of product they produce.

It is because of posts like these that I purchased a Whites V3. It is such a blessing knowing that Whites loves its customers as much as it loves making the best metal detectors in the world. They put the I CAN in American.
 
I haven't had to use White's customer service yet ( and may never have to ) but it's great to know that if I ever have to, it will be hassle free and very reasonable to do. With their quality construction and customer care and service, the Whites company shows the character and qualities I look for always. I can understand the brand loyalty of White's users and am now sold on them being the best detectors around. At least for me. IMHO
