I got to use my SUNRAY GI-1 Probe for the GTI series

Pretty awesome piece for my detector arsenal.....
I like the way it works off the GTI Series, and apparently the GTI 2500 really likes this probe. Switching is flawless from coil to probe each and every time it's called for!

Pinpointing is just awesome and the depth and reads are great also.

I can't really find anything wrong with this GI-1 probe. Except maybe you should have told me about it sooner. But then if everyone had a SunRay Probe and someday they will....they will just have a better time detecting.

Thanks for a great product!

Hi KCK, I to just got out the other day to try my new GI-1 probe, also with the GTI 2500. You are right it's a great investment and sure saves getting up and down to pinpoint. I like the fact of being able to also probe dirt dug up & surrounding area of hole without having to get up to scan with detector.
I find myself using the probe often & is a time saver, don't know if I could do without the sunray probe, now that I have one.

As I recall someone comment on the sunray probes/ others, all new detector sales should come with a probe.
All the great comments about sunray probes are true.

Best T'hunting to you KCK.

Special thanks to Ralph & Sunray for an excellent product.

Yeah it's quite a gadget and invaluable in locating coins, especially in old bark chips. A little tip. It's good for three inches or so and if you whip it over the target it will get around five inches. You can check this out by air testing it and whipping a coin back and forth in front of the probe.

Uncle Willy, sounds like most your playgrounds are filled with wood chips, most of ours are filled with sand. We do have one playground here with wood chips, will check it out another day.

Hoping to get out to use the Sunray more this week- end before I leave for Edmonton/ Devon. I know I made a good choice buying the Sunray & hope I find some choice places down south to detect, after work of course. Dave

Yeah all the playgrounds here are bark chips but then Oregon has the largest stand of forest in the nation so we got lots of wood.:) There is one playground among the ones I hit that is pea gravel. Stupidest thing I ever seen.

Coins here if they have been in the chips for awhile turn the same color as the chips and are a bear to pick out. Pennies are the worst. The Sunray sure makes it easier.

Nice tip on the probe Bill.
Given the experience that I now have with the pocket uniprobe,I think that the Sunray inline probe would be a much better choice. All I need now is an ace250 to attach it to(as well). The uniprobe has a badly made connection that is very vulnerable to braking, It awkward the use and it needs a 9 volt battery to run.
Keep up the good posts:cheers:
