I have been looking at a place on Google Earth that has an old road
that has not been used for many years. It could be one of the oldest
roads in this part of Arkansas. I have hunted south of this area, but I
wanted to hunt this area while it is still accessible.

All I found was an old square nail and some lead, bullet casings and
so on.

It wasn

Gosh Tabdog, sounds like you're feelin' fit as a fiddle!

Over hill and dale up to the top of the mountain, and all!

Are there a buncha skeeters there in the wet stuff? Poison ivy?

What is best? Hunt now, with skeeters? or later when poison ivy grows all over?

It will be interesting to see how you do there, especially up around the fireplace areas.

I found a live 30-30 round an hour ago in a different park!

Hay Rmptr,

There's lots of bugs of all kinds. Not too bad yet. I haven't found any bites from today.

I have been surveying so long that I have to get out every now and then. The bugs are
not my biggest problem. The Arkie heat is what takes it out of me.

I have to pace myself. Not like it used to be. That's when my little rain jacket will prove
it's worth.

HH,

and the day looks to have been pretty interesting. Even if you didn't find a lot of goodies you at least had a good climb.

Hay Saltydog,

I have been down with a drug resistant form of staff infection. The medicin they gave had to go in by injection.
It was so nasty that it destroyied my blood vanes. I had to have a tube in my heart from under my arm. The
medicin would then disperse in the higher volume of blood and not destroy as much tissue. It's nasty, But...

The staff will kill you quick. If you survive that, they try to kill you with medicin. If you survive that, thay usually
give up and let you go. This is the third time I survived this disease. You cannot get rid of it completely. It may
be what does me in. But I ain't going down with out a fight.

HH,

Darn them hospitals, Tabdog!

Staph infection darn near got my father-in-law, and he's a tough old curmudgeon.

They are not doing proper cleaning, as they should, in those places.

...Yup, we're gettin' warmer over here on the left coast, too.
But we don't have the humidity like you got.

Soon it will be up to 110 - 115% and dry as a bone!
I don't care for it much, but some folks like it.

Be cautious, Tabdog.
Don't dig all those deep relics in one day!

Sorry to hear about your staff infection, I wish you well mate...

Tabdog you have a lot of people looking for your posts. There are a lot of people like me dull and normal enjoy reading your posts. Thanks Z...
