Man, it was hot today, so I packed up some water detectors- Garrett Mark II Sea Hunter and DetectorPro, and headed out to a lake to cool off. The chest waiters kept me nice and cool in the deep water. My water curse continues for rings. I haven't found any rings in the water yet this year. Lots of pull tabs, bottle caps and other related junk....... :(

I did find over $7.00 in change and a hair Bret, but no rings......its that awful curse!

I Got those pull tab blues mama.......

I got you beat. Last night I hunted the surf with the Mark II and found 1 nickel and 3 pennies. So it ain't always there. Keep pluggin' John. You put the coil over a ring in the lake and it will surely be yours. Used the Excal in a different surf area and found 1 dime and 1 penny.

:rofl:Always important to keep your spirits up and your sense of humour intact when your going through a slow period.

BDA:cool:

Since John obviously missed your inquirey, his other water unit is a Head Hunter Wader as I asked him the same question on the Garrett forum. The Mark II, I also own and it is a fine P.I. unit, but if there is a lot of ferrous in the area, it can be a lot of work. The Head Hunter Wader is vlf and does not have as good of depth as the Mark II, but can discriminate out the ferrous. The Headhunter is particularly good in fresh water based on our experience with the unit. Huntress ran 1 at a lake recently (Diver) and found 2 gold diamond rings. She likes it!
