Man, it was hot today, so I packed up some water detectors- Garrett Mark II Sea Hunter and DetectorPro, and headed out to a lake to cool off. The chest waiters kept me nice and cool in the deep water. My water curse continues for rings. I haven't found any rings in the water yet this year. Lots of pull tabs, bottle caps and other related junk....... :(

I did find over $7.00 in change and a hair Bret, but no rings......its that awful curse!

I Got those pull tab blues mama.......

Which Detector Pro unit do you have John? Huntress was running A Head Hunter Diver at the lake and doing well. No more ferrous in the equation. You should be able to run it all the way on 10 on sensitivity in fresh water. Should not need as much depth in a lake as the targets should not sink past the clay base, if there is one. The Mark II will not miss a thing though. If it's metal it'll let you know. GH

Same electronics, but only good for six feet in depth. I do run the sensitivity at 10 and discrimination at 2-3 or 5-6 deepening on the amount of junk there is and the time factor. The MII I use in the deep water where there is little less junk. Some of our lakes have a clay base at 0-5 inches, and others....????? I don't know. The rings will come soon enough. I just like to constructively whine sometimes.

Nice collection John !I like the picture you made. You could sell it as Garret folk art.....may be worth a fortune some day.
I have a feeling you will be ringing in the rings!

you are findin the pulltabs;let me tell ya-FROM EXPERIENCE...You will find the rings-they are out there...Im headed to a campground tomorrow-have found a few rings-have ALWAYS found a ton of pulltabs with them there!!!...
