I found this in a corn field last weekend,,,,,very strange lol!!
Also plucked out a no date largie and a small military button.

Indeed you did...decent detail on reverse of LC.

Yeah,reverse isn't bad,but the front is wiped out.

Shame there's not front on the LC. Always like those early draped bust types. I guess the front of it gave you the finger

Yep, that is a weird find there and I also think it may be a candle holder. As weird as it looks, I would do some research because it may be a very old piece and worth quite a bit of money?

Pretty cool finger part of the fun is detecting weird stuff. Ya got some cool oldies too. So many LC's I dig look like yours and I try like crazy to make out dates and detail that are long gone. Successful hunt for sure.

Put it in a Pot of Hot Boiling water and a drop of liquid Soap. Then take a toothpick and rub off some ot he Dirt. probably bring out a date. Thanks for sharing

couldnt be like one of those flattish lanterns or grease lamps where the flame just happens in the bowl. Somehow i think that circular shape in the palm is the key to identifying it- what was the purpose of the recessed circle?

I don't think it's any type of lamp,it's only a little larger than a quarter,and the way the middle finger sticks up,it doesn't sit flat.
I was thinking maybe it came from a Rat Fink model,and the circular part was on top of the shifter knob.
For those of you that don't remember rat fink,he was an ugly rat that drove all kinds of race cars.
If you google rat fink you'll see what I mean. I guess we'll never know.....lol
