I got that 2000/D coinmaster workin-Just a loose battery connector.:thumbup:Works pretty good for its age....

Steve,

How are you doing with your 2000D coinmaster?? Good to see it was a simple fix. I picked up a White's Coinmaster 2500D on Ebay, got it last week.-these are some nice units. It uses one 9 volt battery, is in excellent condition-no rust, has manual ground balance besides tuning (sensitivity?), discrimination, and on/off volume knob. A very neat looking machine, I must say.

I also have a BH QDII, got that last Friday. I had one last summer, sold it not long after-regretted that because I didn't take enough time to learn my machine, so ordered the same this time. I'd originally got it to look for a property marker (didn't find it). This time I will take the time for both, I am excited to be able to try this hobby again.

The 2500D is just a bit heavier than the Quick Draw II but not too much. I have to plant my test test garden in the backyard, get to learn these machines, although I've tried both a few times in the yard. I went with the QDII at some tennis courts, got a couple of good signals but didn't get anything. The ground was near the driveway, plenty of shells and rock in the ground to dig through. Next time I go to a location I'll bring the White also. Being new at this, I need all the practice I can get...

Regards,
Kerry
