10.5" DD 7.5khz and a plugger straight shaft.

I do have a question about the straight shaft, the minelab head fit very snuggly in the handle, do i need to drill a hole and put a screw in through it or just leave it the way it is.

What is the advantage of the straight.shaft over the bent one.

What I noticed is that with the heavier coil on the pressure points were different and it leaned forward harder and would push the head down on my hand. With the straight shaft it is very balanced and doesnt put as much pressure on my hand.

Thanks for the info I might have to check them out if there not to expensive .
HH.

I had some old detectors that had what I needed to straiten out my X-terra 705 ,I took it out this morning and it does fell a bit better balanced.
I wonder why Minelab don't produce them like this I would think it would be cheaper to produce and a good selling point also.
By the way only found about $1.60 and a couple of old brass buckles.
I think I'm gonna like this strait shaft thanks for steering me in the right direction.
