...I got 4 days off then;SO-I am going Up North Friday night, for 2 nights...I stay in a motel right on the waterfront;with a beach that is shared with a bunch of other motels-ALMOST A QUARTER MILE OF IT,AS A MATTER OF FACT...If ya stay in 1 of them hotels, you have UNLIMITED access to the beach at all the others...nice thing is,at that time of year, all but 1 of them are closed.the one I am going to stay in...I was up there in July, and those beaches were JAMMED with people stayin there;swimmin,sunning,--LOSING things...Best part,I called them and asked them about detecting the beach-the answer-"Absolutely-AND,not just in front of our hotel-ALL of the beach front hotels" :rofl:As an added attraction;I am kicking around buying a pair of neoprene waders and detecting the beach at that state park I stayed in in July;where I found so many goodies...I am going to hit it on my way to my hotel...This is where I need some input-are any kind of neoprene waders ok;or are some better that others??Let me know about it.Thanks,Dogface Steve!!

maybe you was coming down here to eat turkey, watch football, and go swingin! :)

..to my in-laws for Thanksgiving...Then;Friday Morning;it is off to the North Country-Being that my in-laws live in the West Branch area;it is just a couple hours to my swinging ground....I found a pair of waders at Cabela's for about 60 bucks-Boot foot;insulated...Anybody here ever been water detecting in Michigan around Thanksgiving??:yikes:Last time I did that;there was ice in the water floatin around me:unsure:...My feet and legs got so cold;I began to lose feeling in them...out in almost waist-deep water...All I would have had to do to get in the deep doo-doo would have been to stumble and fall over -NATURALLY;the waders would have filled up with water probably no warmer than 35-40 degrees or so:stars:..THAT would have ruined my day...As it was, that last time I did it was a doozy:I got pneumonia, and was sick till New Years-This time,I will have INSULATED waders-THEN;I can stay out in that icy water all day and all night, right??:rofl:SURE,STEVE;Whatever you say!!!....:help:
