I got out on New Years Day and did a little hunting. Cold, frozen ground, ice, and mucho silver!

The water at my summer gold hole is down about 15 feet now, and the whole darn swimming area is high and dry along with the area with all the docks and sunbathing platforms. I had hit the the swimming area a lot and went up just to do the dock area with a small coil to deal with all the trash. The temps here were well below freezing for about 2 weeks, but it has been warming up to about 38 over the weekend for a while in the afternoon. I went up at about 1600 hours to get the best chance of some thawing of the ground. As the water went down it left a layer of ice over the deeper parts, but some ground was thawed out. I hunted for an hour and a half before it got dark, but I found this silver.

The three rings are all .925. The ear ring is .925 and so is the bellybutton ring. How many of you have found a belly button ring? I did not show the mountains of pull tabs and coins that came up out of the frosty ground, but I dumped a lot of trash when I got home. So Mags, it looks like we both started the year with a silver of hope. No pun intended. DC
